Gah,

was it only me, or did Steam just decide to shut itself down .... Evil or Very Mad

After all, we only invested half an hour to almost get a game going .....
Sorry for venting a bit of frustration here.

No problem Nigel, we were all in the same boat as we say here. heh
We all Lost connection with Steam.
It has happened quite a few times lately. But at least that 3v3 we had was a great battle
I think I scored my highest kills so far in that game and we were all over a 1000 kills each. Well played 'team'.

Yes, it did turn out into a very nice battle in the end.
I am gald we gave it one more "last try".

I guess there are just times when Steam is more stable and times when it is less so.

I really enjoyed that battle and the teamwork aspect went very well, too (thanks for coming to my aid, guys Very Happy

).
Our opponents, the one on my side at least, were honourable too - staying on to the end when he already knew he would be outnumbered.

Oh no, Steam does it again. Mad

Since yesterday (actually since comimg back to the game after a 2 week vacation) I am getting the Steam Error message:

This game is curently unavailable.
Please try again at another time.

Is there anyting I am doing wrong or I have accidentially messed up?

I played the game once without my internet connection on, because I wanted to see an old replay before the patch got installed.
Then I wanted to log on to install the patch and since then I keep getting that error message.

Any help you guys could give me would be great.

Had this happen before also.

It cleared its self up after a hour or so.

If it has not allowed you in yet, you may need to reinstall the game.

Unfortunately it has not. This is the third day I am having this problem.

Is thre another solution.
I really dont fancy having to reinstall, especially as I have heared that it can mess up your Avatar and that you may have to start from 0 again....

Try Shogun 2 Properties tab Local Files and run Verify, run Defrag, then test the game.

If that does not work:

Your game's status should be protected on The Cloud, and if that is not corrupted you should be able to reinstall back to the state you left it.

Check Shogun 2 Properties tab Updates for Cloud check mark (should be checked)

Then uninstall Local Content (under Properties again) and reinstall the game.

There is always a risk, but at this point you have little to lose because it is not working.

"Delete client registry blob" has been suggested as a repair for this problem.

Hello Nigel,

I had this message when I logged on to Steam TWS2 last night.

(not playing atm, recovering from eye surgery, cataracts. Just wanted to check if I would have the same message)

I exited Steam and relogged back on and started the game again straight away with no further messages.

I have had this happen a few times before in the past but it has not remained a problem.

Ok, I did manage to get back into the game and update it.
Run Verify did the trick.

However, now the graphics look kind of strange. Like lookting through a mist all the time.
