Here is the army I deployed in last nights battles.
Seemed to work reasonably well, but of course I am happy for suggestions and discussions.

Is there a penalty for choosing more than 4 units of the same type (as there was in MTW)?

I am not aware of any penalty for choosing more than 4 units of the same group.
In MTW the cost of the 5th and more units were increased in cost. IIRC
