got as many of the changes in as i could remember,
(had finished by time forum came back online)
(i think i got them all....)
YILancer Cav are gooooone....
Kershig are in
some costs changed
MHC have a boost in combat strength (cant remember what i did..i did something....)

to install you need a fresh copy of MTW vI
then
add BETA8 MP (ONLY)
then
unzip this file
(make sure you can see files and folders)
then
install contents into MTW directory
accept overwrites
start game - should only be ONE era playable

Edit Glyndwr: By invisible, do you mean the text changes colour to 'red' when mouseover? That is as set.

Thought I was seeing things then Surprised
First the link was 'dead' then when I went to check url the link was 'alive'
Now noticed you are also online lol!

All installed and I now see one era...sam wars0903

I haven't installed the 'new' ^^Maps

why is forum all freaky colours???

yes...blue...bluegoood...white bad....
- colour blue tags were in because i have a white box that my text was all in...
so until i painted text in colour i could not see it...

i can see it all good now,
i have been trying for ages to get into forum,
maybe the "broken" page was stuck in my cache...

the "online" banner that was across the right side of a post by someone when they were online is gone now tho...

What browser are you using?
I have tried and had probs with Firefox with coloured texts so ditched it.
I'm using IE7 and the forum is as it should be. No probs logging in ..Home page is there ok..all texts and text boxes are as should be. Someone online is still showing in top right hand corner of post.
Maybe a 'glitch' your end?

Forum font and pages all OK my end.

9.03 installed on a fresh new copy. Observations so far....

Korean Spears....will fight Yari Samurai to a standstill, destroy Ashi and reduce Naginata by 1/3 - 1/2 size. Is the 100 size giving them too much advantage?
I suggested 100 Yari Ashigaru. I think we need to consider ....
Increasing Yari Samurai to 80
Increasing Naginata to 80 (what on earth did they do to them?) Even with better attack they are still slaughtered by Korean Guards.

Larger Samurai units may even things, it's either that or weaken Korean Guards, who are presently performing as I imagined Yuan Imperial Guards (at 1200 koku)

Keshig unit seems to have a formation problem, they are scattering and spreading.

We definitely need the Yuan inf and extra Samurai units.

NB: Barocca, this is not criticism, just observations because on the whole it is looking brilliant.

I've added the ^^Maps to my install incase anyone wants to play on the new maps tonight/today.

Can the Mongolwars01 and 02 have the ^^ added?
It would keep ALL the maps together at the beginning of the map selection page. A thought. Wink

For the sake of preventing conflicts, those two maps will have to remain as they are. It's OK, I'm sure we'll remember them. I just finished ^^The Shrine. We can try it tonight.

I will upload any new maps as soon as ^HUN^ gets them to me. The ^^Maps will always be up to date.

I have bothversions...and it was a shortcut address error (mine) that gave 0903 insted of 04 in my hosting, sorry.

But then how did I play in a 0904 hosted game, if I was on 03 all the time?

Shouldnt there be an error that would not allow me to join that game, or you to join my game?

This is a very serious thing, if true.

Were the both of you on 03, or 04?

There are two eras in the latest update, version 9.03 and 9.04. Perhaps you hosted the wrong one by mistake? In any case it was good fun.

Now I have it straight (desktop icon link was wrong), and neither game yesterday was a 0904.

Could not have been.

Check your link in detail, removing all game shortcuts where ever they may be, until you have only one.

I had a link driving a link (first time ever).

Should see both in Select Era on latest revision.

So, how did we manage to run a test game Sunday with me selecting 0904 and you say you had 0903?

Check your file for my units, for price of KGS (600 or 1200).

Mine says 600 koku (0903).

This happened back in VI days. I've seen conflicting logfiles before. You obviously didn't test 9.04.

Unit costs show the new costs. KS 1200.....KG 700 and Song Spears are 80 man unit.
