The pixelation is deliberate, to break up the harshness of the dark areas.

The Battle List was full with players using the new maps.

Fed up with not being able to host or join all games. BT Home Hub Router a problem. Made up my mind to go ahead and buy a new Router. Some information that will help clear up an ingame incident noticed by players while playing MP.. http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=120392 In our game....two campers sat at redline area on high ground, artillery lined up, infantry behind stakes. Our cavalry would have been slaughtered by stakes and guns if charging and our units were being shot to pieces with the shrapnel glitch. They say both sides can use it but we failed to get to reach even half way to their units.

Server problems

There has been a lot of people unable to connect to the forum today, including myself.

I understand that it is a Server problem so we shall have to be patient and hope things are back to normal soon.

I am posting this on the one time that I have been able to connect.

New Patch Version 1.3

The new patch 1.3 has now auto-installed on my ETW game. Nice one CA....the 14 new units....that are supposed to make the factions even better to play with you now have to PAY FOR. Yep �1.99. A small amount admitted but this is still a liberty. No mention of having to pay for them in all the hype that we have been given about the new patch. Went to test that the patch had installed successfully....all the games are now not compatable with my version. So it appears no-one else has had ...

There is no List of players...no Lobby chat and no private chat in the actual lobby, just a list of games that are available to join. Steam

Steam, in place of GameSpy, is needed for playing E:TW MP This is a free download (approximately 2MB) from HERE It has its own windows installer. You have to create a username, email address, password etc for logging on to Steam to play. In the same way that you had to create a profile for GameSpy I will see if I can find some more information on how you 'Log on' etc etc and report back.

Similar to what we had below the post window in our other forum. When you click on the Button to activate the drop down window, you then have to click it again to remove the drop down window. Something we haven�t done yet is fight without monks, guns, or ninjas, as TMS reminded that we should to be correct to the era (can�t find the post). I think this would help in "better" determining correct Mongol troop strengths. This does bring back another issue though. Without the above, the Japanese unit choices are looking rather lean in comparison to the new kids on the map. We will need the katana sams, and ashi archers, and whatever else you all were thinking about, to ...

Hoganji has always been intended to have a selection of unique units, mostly they will be unique light infantry types to represent the temple guards and peasant forces, quite a variety are possible, all will e slightly less armour. i propose they have access to a VERY limited range of regular japanese samurai units, possibly only yarisam, sam archer ( and maybe katana sam) ?comments? i want to avoid superpowered warrior monks. although the creme de la creme of warrior monks ...

Song Tribal Cavalry meant to be cheap HA chasers, but it seems they be a little too strong, they were slaughtering naginata cavalry tongiht YIL = charge 4, mellee 2, defence 1, armour 3, honour 8, cav att +3 = 1000k STC = charge 3, mellee 0, defence -1, armour 2, honour 6, cav att +3 = 600k NagCav = charge 4, mellee 4, defence 2, armour 4, honour 8, cav att -2 = 900 note the -2 ant-cav - Naginata Cav were too strong vs armoured cav otherwise, so maybe drop ...
